Meet The Sunshine Team
Sallie – Manager
CACHE Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development – enjoys talking to and showing around new families, play-dough fun and reading stories. Sallie has worked at Sunshine Pre-School for over 20 years, having started when her own 3 children used to attend.
Lucy
Lucy has worked for many years with children of all ages, and has most recently being working with younger children in a Primary School in Reception class and supporting children 1 to 1. She has lots of experience supporting children with SEN and enjoys sports. Lucy has NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People.
Ruth
CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce – enjoys construction play and messy activities, and reading stories. Ruth has previously worked as a childminder before joining us over 8 years ago. She loves to help new children settle into pre-school.
Lisa - Deputy Manager
CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce – likes coming up with science ideas, outdoor play, and reading stories. Lisa has worked at Sunshine Pre-School for over 8 years and has previously managed another village pre-School.
Vanessa - 3rd in Charge
Vanessa has worked in Early Years for many years and has experience of managing a nursery. She loves messy play and creating fun tuff spots for children to explore. She has a Degree in Early Years Education from the University of Bedfordshire.
Alix - Senco
Alix has a QTS in Primary School Education and has worked with various school years but after spending time in reception decided she wanted to continue her career in early years education. Alix has a strong interest in supporting children with SEN and has completed many SEN training courses.
Ashley
Ashley has worked in other Early Years settings, and actually did a placement with us here at Sunshine Pre-School when she was training. She loved her time with us so much, she has come back to join our team. Ashley loves reading to the children, supporting their mark making and play dough fun. She has Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
Shannon
Shannon has worked in Early Years and as a 1 to 1 in Primary Schools. She likes crafts, messy play and construction play. She has a Degree in Early Childhood Studies from Bishop Grosseteste University and a Foundation Degree from University of Bedfordshire in Children, Families & Community Health.
Rowena
Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Certificate for The Children and Young People’s Workforce – enjoys singing nursery rhymes, playing music and outdoor play. She has been at Sunshine Pre-School for over 11 years, starting here when her own two children used to attend.
Claire
The Children and Young People’s Workforce: Early Years Educator Level 3 – she has worked for many years in early years in other settings and has been at Sunshine Pre-School for over 6 years. She enjoys singing, yoga lessons, and getting crafty, and is very supportive when settling in new children.
